Itinery

We will depart the Viaduct marina berth around 10am and head out on the water to an island bay where we will anchor for morning tea, lunch and a swim (if weather is suitable). After lunch we will sail to a course-side location where we will anchor on the race course boundary and set up the 40 inch TV and live stream racing feed, ready to watch the racing when it commences.

There are two races planned on each of the first six finals race days and one on the seventh. In cases where racing is abandoned / postponed due to conditions being unsuitable or if there is no racing on the day you have booked because the series has already been completed, we will spend the day on the water, taking in the sights and racing action and then sail back to the dock late afternoon at the completion of the days racing around 6:30 - 7:00pm, where you can continue the party atmosphere ashore in the vibrant Americas Cup Village and surrounding waterfront viaduct harbour, packed with bars and restaurants.

If racing is cancelled or post-phoned on the day at any time after departing the dock, your booking is non-refundable. Silver Fern is committed to spending the day on the water and we will amend the itinerary to include an island stop, the opportunity to swim, go ashore, relax and enjoy the harbour.

If one or both races; on the race day you are scheduled to watch the racing, are abandoned (after departing the dock on the relevant day) and moved a later day, then you will have the first opportunity to join us again on the new date at 50% discount off the normal cost and you will have first priority for booking the replacement day.

There is no better time to be on the Auckland waterfront than when the Americas Cup, Volvo Ocean Race or Rugby World Cup is in town. The entire country comes to life and gets behind the New Zealand Team and they welcome visitors from all nations with open arms and open hearts.
