SailGP Auckland is set to kick off for the first time ever in Auckland, on the 17th of January 2025. Join us onboard for a full day on the water, for this incredible event, in the premium front row viewing box, with no other vessels anchored between us and the race course.

Attending a SailGP event is a thrilling experience that immerses spectators in the high-speed world of professional sailing. As the world's fastest sail racing series, SailGP features cutting-edge F50 catamarans that can reach speeds of over 50 knots (90 km/hr). itinerary

We will depart the Viaduct Harbour marina berth shortly after 10am and head out on the water, to an island or bay, where we will anchor for morning tea, lunch and a swim (if weather is suitable). After lunch we will head to a course-side location, where we will anchor on the race course boundary in the premium front row viewing box, with no other vessels anchored between us and the race course. We’ll connect the 65 inch TV, to the live stream racing feed, ready to watch the racing when it commences.

There are usually two - three fleet races planned on the practice day (17th) and the first race day (18th), with two races and a finals race on the final day (19th). We’ll take in the sights and racing action and then head back to the dock, at the completion of the days racing (around 7:00 - 7:30pm), where you can continue the party atmosphere ashore in the vibrant SailGP Village and surrounding waterfront Viaduct Harbour, packed with bars and restaurants.

If racing is cancelled or post-phoned on the day at any time after departing the dock, your booking is non-refundable. Sea Breeze III is committed to spending the day on the water and we will amend the itinerary to include an island stop, the opportunity to swim, relax and enjoy the harbour.

There is no better time to be on the Auckland waterfront than when the SailGP, Americas Cup, Volvo Ocean Race or Rugby World Cup is in town. The entire country comes to life and gets behind the New Zealand Team and they welcome visitors from all nations with open arms and open hearts.

Inclusions

Your spectator package includes; buffet lunch onboard, snacks, cheese platter, fruit and dinner along with non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks. There are bathrooms onboard and you may have the opportunity to swim so feel free to bring your swimming costume and a towel.

Dress for protection from the sun including sun hats, sunglasses and sun cream. The weather is changeable so a warm top or wind jacket is recommended.

Exclusions

Your crew package excludes, alcoholic drinks unless you have purchase a drinks package and licensed bar service is available.

If you are flying in especially for this event and departing later on the same day, it’s always recommended that you book flights with time flexibility incase of unforeseen changes due to weather or schedules or we are late returning to the dock.
